This spot isn't really best because of the nearby highway, so you can only stop cars coming from the gas station. Still, it's probably the best spot you can choose in the area. We wanted to head down toward Vienna/Graz, but an older French couple stopped on their way to Salzburg.―evasiskova

We got here on Friday evening at 18:30. There were not so many cars but most people were very nice and either didn’t have the space or went somewhere else. We waited until 22:30 and then stayed the night at the entrance of the hotel on the other side. When we got back in the morning around 6, Not even 2 minutes after getting there, a nice lady in a van picked us up from the highway. So the earlier you get there the better your chances are.―Arenwithane

For sure it's better than others spots in this area. Just go on the ramp and use pretty good place to hike. There is also a lot of place for the drivers to stop. I tried my best in the heavy rain, I wasn't looking inviting, got the ride to next Raststation.―mandat
